HI everyone, I just joined up today...
I was doing a search for how to help a sick chicken.
My best research says she has "waterbelly", and I am looking for someone who might be willing to assist me.
If there is anyone in Tempe, AZ who has drained their hen, and is willing to help me... please give me a shout out... I'm way to nervous to be able to do this to my hen Kohl...
I've had her isolated and she's had 3 baths over the last week ... she seems better to be in better spirits, just still bloated...
Any help would be appreciated..
thanks
@desertrocks desertmarcy has what you are looking for.. i mention her because i have seen her birds and she breeds beautiful bird's. She is up in Marana, which is close to Tucson. There's always somebody going up there. A few of us have carpool together there for a day trip. I have another friend that breeds from Greenfire farms, that's where we got most of our flock last year. I only have a few left from her so depending on what you want you can always private message me and I can give you her information.
Thanks city farm. We have been looking at her birds online and she is certainly at the top of our list.
At the moment, in fact tomorrow morning we are going to get the materials to build our the pen, adding a proper roosting area and nest boxes on the back side and an uncovered day run off of the side of the pen. It has been so hot that we decided not to give them the option of sun or shade as they were still just babies. Now as the heat begins to ease and the sun isn't so penetrating we will give them more area to roam, a little at a time.
This will give them a 4X8 roosting/nesting area, an 8X12 covered and an additional 10X10 day run for the time being.
Once everything is fenced and secured to our liking, they will have access to approx. 9000 sqft to roam during the day.
FIGHT WORLD HUNGER! Eat her.Hello, everyone. I am looking for someone with more experience than me willing to take a EE pullet with a cross beak. It's not as severe as some I've seen pictures of, but I know I am not giving her the extra help she needs. Location: Globe, AZ. SAVE A LIFE!![]()
