Arizona Chickens

Love how kid's get excited to hold them... Look at that precious smile... Yeah, you probably have a banty.. Honestly we love our's.. Tiny bite size egg's..
Yeah she's my chicken helper. She loves the chicks especially. Looks like I get to have fun integrating them into my large breed flock

Hot, hot, hot today........stay safe and hydrated. My poor buff orps were holding their wings out yesterday. AND I haven't gotten my misting system taken care of yet. Thank goodness its only a couple of days! Water, water, water..........

They will be fine, they are feisty & can hold their own.. I must say whenever we integrate new bird's it seems they keep their own flock.. They don't fight cause we have plenty space for them to retreat.. They just hang with who was raised together. We made a make shift playpen for them newbies..just hardware cloth folded into a large square, they could see each other with out the dominant hen trying to take charge.. Can't wait to see them when they get older..

Living in the desert, you never know when those triple digits hit.. But I guess we'll find out if today is the day..
I'll get the ground wet for them, they love digging for bug's.. Remember last year when I would go buy them block's of ice.. Spoiled rotten chickens..

I hope last night was not the last for bonfires.. :hit

Looks like we'll cool down yet before climbing back up that ladder. I hope they are right. Yesterday was yuck.
Where do you get milkweed seeds? I don't think I've seen those.
I just got done giving my garden a really good soak down to hopefully keep it going through today ;)

Both plaques are well made & well worth the $.. I photo copy the laminated the copies to put up in the front yard.. I would not want to come out and find the plaque gone..we keep them in the back in shade.. The copies only last about a year & a half.. Plus it gives people walking by something to read while the duck's are frolicking..
Flowers in bloom now..
