Observations so far on Easter eggers is that they are calm, a lot calmer than orpington chicks
Boy are these babies chatty! Having lots of fun llistening to them they are near two weeks old already and jumping on top of the feeders, we are building a bigger brooder for the 19 of them since they are outgrowing the current one soon.
My EE rooster is one of my sweetest birds of all time, and he's completely trusting of both myself and my husband. He runs across the yard just to be picked up and snuggled, and grows so relaxed when held that he's like a rag doll. No joking, more than once I've thought he literally died on my lap or in my arms because even his head was just flopped over. I can manipulate any part of him without an ounce of protest. He's also been great for training young cockerels how to treat the hens. Here he is with my big NN boy, Tank:
The last time I had some they would squeeze into my homing pigeon loft through the pigeon bobs, push the pigeon eggs out of their nests, and lay their own eggs in their place! I had to move the bobs up high where the chickens couldn't get to them.
