Arizona Chickens

She's inspired! At least she's learning her part of the song. ;)

Mine were "singing" their heads off today too, but when I went out to check it was my rooster, Tank, leading the chorus. I guess he doesn't think the girls sing enough when they lay eggs, so he sings for them...LOUDLY.

I guess my neighbor next door had thought they were asking him for more of those weed's in his yard that they like so well. He filled up one of those 5 gallon buckets full of those weeds and had me give it to them to quiet them down! Then he asked me how many egg's that I got today. :gig

That all depends on the type of weed. :gig
Some weeds increase appetites drastically.

I'm in the same boat! We live 30/45 minutes away from town depending on what direction you go. I don't count the "downtown" Yucca as a real town. Oh, sure we have a post office, fire department, small convenient store, restaurant/laundromat (no, I haven't ventured in there) and a bar. There are a few businesses there, which may or may not be still open. I heard there was a gas station here many moons ago.

We get the nice breeze here too. Rolling down from the mountains that we nestled in between.
Haha!!! So you have a laundromat, and don't need it... we don't and i do need it, and the closest one is 20 miles away... :(

My brother always says his birds are laughing at him, that big doofy hoooman.

I love when I hear the egg songs. I have a number of girls who sing a "pre" egg as well as "post" egg. I also love the ones who sing and talk in the middle then pick right back up where they left off. I just laugh. My new NN girls are quiet singers but the older girls who are just coming back in to lay sing the loudest. Some don't bother anymore - they are the ones who you find sitting on the talking board with the rest of the girls!!
Rain - when it falls on my head I'll believe it. It did smell wet this morning though. We'll see - I just won't hold my breath.
