Arizona Chickens

Anytime I go to Tsc I can't find the feed I need and that's 2 different ones too, I'm changing to Purina and I'll see how that goes, that way maybe I can go to cal ranch or shoppers and find purina there

I also read that someone else went from dumor to Purina and noticed fluffy butts werent so poopy any longer so heres hoping...

Does your TSC carry this? My girls do better on it than the Purina. Seems to last longer too (couple days longer per bag)

Nothing wrong with the Purina, mind, but I do notice a drop in egg production in the 16% Purina vs the 18% Nature Wise.

(Edit: 18% not 10%)

@azurbanclucker Thanks I don't think they do, I tried a different nutrena like a year ago or so and it was brown and the chickens didn't like it but maybe that one youbsuggested is better thanks!:jumpy

For now I'm using chick feed still so the Purina I got is 20 % protein :thumbsup I'm hoping they like it apparently all Tsc cares about is dumor layer feed :idunno

My TSC carries Purina feed and in fact seems to go through it quite quickly. Interesting that you have a problem with your TSC. I even use the chick starter grower - then usually the all flock feed. There is organic and Dumor as well on the shelves. One of the things I asked them to stock was the Standlee bedding straw - they began stocking it - I don't use much- maybe 2 in a year but others have begun using this product too. I really like the straw, its soft and the girls all enjoy keeping house with it when in nest boxes.
Edit: One of the things you could do is order on-line for pick-up in the store-- LOL! That'll show 'em!

I just recently found out that mine sells this, and only by accident as they don't shelve it with the poultry feed. They had it tucked away above the goat feed and I accidently came upon it while snooping around on a day I felt like snooping. :p

The one in East Mesa stocks it but they don't stock the other Nutrena label (Country Feeds, which has an awesome 21% egg producer feed. I use that in winter). They also stock Standlee straw, alfalfa, and timothy compressed bales, and my rabbit feed. Super helpful to get all of it in one stop. :)

Well i guess I go to the two busy Tsc maybe? They are supposed to carry these things but are always out it seems which frustrates me bc when I go I'm usually pretty low on feed

One thing I noticed about this new Purina vs dumor is that Purina has a uniform crumble and much less dust I've had problems with dumor being too pulverized
