Arizona Chickens

Ok! I readied the coop and run for the monsoon season , 10 wheelbarrows of fresh dirt put in, lots of fresh grit for everyone to find they love it!


I have one super sweet ee, Honey (aptly named before I knew what a sweetie she was) she is always so hot, panting, making panting noises, always warmer than most
I worry about her, I don't see her drink as much or stay in the puddles, she's healthy and eats well, I put drops of water on her beak she won't drink, I mean obviously she drinks some but not enough I don't know how to help her, entice her to help herself like the others any ideas or thoughts?

Could you give her some wet feed? At least it would have water in it.
 
Yeah, she's super sweet though always jumping on my lap but I take her off soon bc she heats up with my heat, I put her in the puddles and she runs out of it, I pour cold water on her feet and it doesn't seem to help, maybe it's just how she copes....

Too bad they don't have anything for chickens like those thing's that the joggers wear in the summer to keep cooler, huh?
 
Yes, I'm waiting for it to cool down a bit too. There's some work that I want to do out there, but didn't want to do it when it's been so hot out. I don't want to stress them out by moving stuff around.

Edit: I still have 5 more chicks to move out there to get them out of the house too that were hatched on May 17th.
