Arizona Chickens

Thanks @cavemanrich! I kinda thought you got it elsewhere. I know all about the Sweet PDZ but our TSC or other places like PetClub and CalRanch do not carry it or any other type of zeolite product except the ultra expensive MannaPro. But I am in Casa Grande and not always are we upworldly! So I'll continue to order it online. It is very good like I said for the poop boards and chickens can eat it if they want. Thanks again!

Just wondering has anyone every used essential oils for chickens? Tea tree oil is a great antibiotic oil. I have not used it was just wondering
One of my turkeys had gotten a big hole in her stomach. I made a mixture of rosemary oil and coconut oil. Flushed out the wound and sewed her up. She’s healed amazingly and wound is scabbed over. She’s back out with her buddies.

Thanks. I have essential oils and was just thinking I have used them on my horse, cats and dogs so I figured why not on the chickens??? I know tea tree oil is great for treating lice so maybe that would be a safer option for the chickens

I heard putting a few drops of tea tree oil or rosemary oil in the birds water once a week also prevents them from getting worms.

I’m in flagstaff,az. Not as hot as Phoenix but has been in the high 80’s last two weeks. Looks like I need to make more shade for my birds lately. I have chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. This is my first year for backyard birds.
I am so jealous of your weather! I wish I could remember what 80's felt like haha

It's good to see you over here in our AZ. thread! I hope that you have been enjoying your birds!
