Hazel enjoying watermelon.

 Quadruple yolker?! What breed did that?

One of my top laying Naked Neck girls when she first started laying. The egg was nearly 4 ounces. She's nearly 4 years old now and still lays 4-6 jumbo eggs per week. Her name is Lucky Charms because she was breech in her egg and I had to help her hatch....the first chick I ever rescued during hatch.

I'm glad that I got over disliking featherless necks. Now the NN's are my favorite. They handle heat much better, lay eggs well, and if for as a meat bird too there are no feather's on the neck that you have to cut through to cull them. Now that has to be less stressful for the culls.

You have chickens again?.... I thought you were down to the ducks after your move.
She is very cute.
Yes, our girl Cheryl the silkie is 5 year’s old & she was getting picked on from the new ducklings that are now grown up.. So I thought when she went broody I would give her 1 more flock to raise.. Only 2 day’s sitting on egg’s found 6 BBL E.E. & Araucana.. but yeah didn’t want more but for her, why not..I do miss having different looking chicken’s.. These all look the same.. I think out of 6, 5 are hen’s.. Will know in a few months..
