It's cloudy at my house, and smells like rain, but so far no actual rain.

I am so, so glad I ended up going with day-old chicks instead of older pullets to start my flock. They are just so much fun to watch, and I love seeing how much they change every day! Plus, they are of course SO CUTE.

I have 2chicks so far. A gray one and yellow with spots. These are early achievers. Hatch day isn’t till tomorrow.

Nice and cool but humid here. No rain yet. The flock is outside loving the weather. I’m cleaning their coop. Took the day off. Needed a mental health day.

@cactusrota That free-ranged hen that you wanted from across the street hasn't showed up over here in over a month now. I don't know what happened to it. Maybe it just didn't want 3 boyfriends (my free-range rooster's)?
