Arizona Chickens

Lol I like that last part. That is so true, right?

I love Christmas I feel like I can celebrate it and leave what I don't like out. But I think whatever someone wants to do or not do is cool
my hubby used to hate Christmas time bc of everything it seems to have become, but he loves it now, how we do it, says it's so peaceful a time and I love that :)

Personally I decorate but no trees, no Santa. I love the movies though lol
My family keeps it simple with a great meal and small tokens of presents and just a calm peaceful day, I love that so much I start my Christmas music in november, but I mostly love those classics like peace on earth by David bowtie and who was it... oh yeah Bing Crosby or Mary's boy child by Boney M or .....ok ill stop
:lau

Have a good day everyone

Oh and p.s. I hate the politics, calls and texts too what's up with that?!

Christmas for me is having a good dinner, and we do give gift's to those who have kept in good contact with us throughout the year and who have become close friend's to us. I do spend some time in my own thoughts of what Christmas mean's to me. I do not try to push my idea's about it onto anyone.

About all of those political calls that they keep hammering out... It make's me so sick of them and mad that I don't even want to go and vote at all, but hubby said that I have to go in and at least vote on the Proposition's. When it come's to voting for the candidates, it's like... vote for the liar of your choice!

That's the primary reason I finally had our landline disconnected. If we weren't getting political or polling calls, we were getting solicitation calls. It was non-stop at all hours and when we'd request to be put on the "no-call list", they'd completely ignore us, replying, "Well, you didn't tell ME not to call...only the other person." It's much easier to block numbers on our cell phones.

We like having the landline. We both have those old style flip dumb phone's that don't text. I leave mine turned off unless I have to go out of town for a few day's on vacation, or if the landline is out from a storm. Our landline is connected to an answering machine and most of the time it's quiet, except during these election time's.

I like Christmas. It’s not the same when the kids grow up and being so far from grandkids. We would go visit but hubbys job don’t allow vacations durning November and December.

We put a fake tree up which I said I would never do but the live ones out here dry out so fast. Hubby puts lights out front and I have some I put around the house.

Love to bake and cook so I do a lot of that this time of year. Just not the same out here compared to Pennsylvania.

We used to go do both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner out at a friend's house over in Mesa. She had a couple of her neighbors over for it also, and everyone would bring a dish and a desert, so that all of the cooking and baking wasn't put on her. She and her son moved back to Colorado because she retired, and she wanted to be closer to the rest of her family. So, now hubby and I just go eat those dinner's at a nice restaurant.

That's why I'm not sure I could ever permanently live out there or Florida or anything. I love having 4 seasons. Fall here is gorgeous and I love seeing snow and having a white Christmas! Not the same without the colorful leaf changes and the snow. We are in Massachusetts but also New England in general is gorgeous, especially up north in the mountains.

Candice is getting pretty fluffy! My other EE is growing in her puffy cheeks but they're not yet as spectacular as Candice's!

I've only lived in warmer climates, so I'm used to it, I had a friend in Australia who says imagining Christmas in the cold is really weird as seeing Santa on the beach in the heat is Christmas to them lol (I am jealous of the fall look with trees though like in MA.) ;)
