I still have my Splash Australorp hen over here, and she went broody this past summer. She's making some Naked Neck cross chicks right now. She's the only full Australorp that I have left here. Sorry that you lost your Blue Australorp hen.

Sorry for your loss! they are beautiful i only hatched once, and with a broody, the specialness of a broody hatch was great I loved seeing that!

I don't mail mine in. I don't want to take the chance of the post office loosing it or messing it up like they can do with shipped hatching egg's.

I have early voted for eons! I put the ballot in the mail and don't worry after that. So much crapola goes on with ballots, you'll never know if your ballot was truly counted. Too much wasted brain time and I don't have much brain left!!
@Diannastarr maybe there can be a transport set up? @BlueBaby to a certain point, I'd be willing to go to a certain point on to Marana/Tucson then on to you in Bisbee. That might work.

I don't mail mine in. I don't want to take the chance of the post office loosing it or messing it up like they can do with shipped hatching egg's.

I'm the same way. Our mail system down here is so unreliable, and I admit to having trust issues. A friend of mine mailed a large box of expensive clothing to her sister, and when her sister got the package she was more than a little miffed, because the box was full of old, soiled kid's clothing instead. One of the postal employees had raided the box, took all of the good stuff out, and replaced it with her kid's junk to match the weight. She did things like this to multiple people before finally getting caught in spite of constant complaints to the Postmaster.

We had another postal worker who was caught intercepting mail-in early ballots sent to our elderly, retired population and filling out and returning all of the ballots himself with the candidate choices he preferred. That one never even made the local news, which really infuriated me. They quietly fired him but I don't know if he was ever prosecuted. I only know about it because we do a lot of work for the local auxiliary police department, and they like to gossip.

Yeah....I have trust issues.

Yes, I have trust issues too with them. I've heard in the past where they found bags of unopened mail in bushes just because the mailman was too lazy to deliver it.

We don't go to the spring races there anymore, because the RV spaces for it will be down at the other end near the start line. You can't really see much of anything from there besides the fishtails behind the boats. It's much better viewing them in the fall races by the finish line where we at at. If you want to come again next fall, we can let you know about them a month in advance. As you already know, they don't advertise about them enough.

My bank letters from different banks used to come delivered open, I complained to some federal dept who just forwarded it to the local post manager but since then no problems though I canceled most of my deliveries and had them go paperless.
