Nothing like working in your back yard when you have back up in the front yard. Another way to keep your garden from becoming another place for a bug’s dinner ...fabulous pest control for those tiny aphids..

@City farm I see that Praying Mantis there in your picture, and yes they are good bug eater's. We have some of those toad's around here and some of them get pretty big. They sit under where our light in the back that is kept on all night, and each will eat all of the bug's that drop down or are crawler's that are attracted to the lighted area.

Boy is it sure windy out there today! The gusting is causing the dirt to blow through too.

My incubator is still holding steady on the temp (100-F.) and humidity (41%). I took them out of the automatic turner last night and layed them flat down on paper towels in the bottom of the incubator. I haven't raised the humidity yet, because it's not yet time to do the lock-down. Hatching of the 31 egg's should start on Sunday. Yes I know, what am I going to do with all of these chick's if they all make it out of the egg's! :lau

You're right @BlueBaby it's nasty out there! I went out to the patio and there's dust with flowers and dead leaves all over the place from the neighbors oleanders.

Are you turning by hand now or are you going to quit turning already?

I'm just going to leave them be and stop turning even by hand, since they are this close to lock down. The last time that I candled them, I marked the biggest side of the air-cells, so I knew how to lay them down.

High octane ;) I can't believe the puppies tracked in so much dirt today, good grief! My poor chickens almost seemed relieved it was bed time, they were all cozied up together tonight

At least the wind didn't blow all of the feather's off of the chicken's, huh? Hey, how is your hatch coming along? Your's are due to hatch about 4 day's after mine do, don't they?

Um, the 19th is when they're due. Kids were here and bumping the the carton etc. They wanted to help and see and ooo Grammy can I do that?! while I was candling and setting eggs. I dunno, I still feel like an idiot over the air cells. Things seem to be going well though, they were all still alive last night.
