That they are, I've found a couple more blue eggs in the NN coop, they are so pale it almost looks white and it seems like they've gotten smaller..lol, the brats are still giving me issues of laying boxes, I put a metal one in there they are using it, I've got to figure out a way to lift it up from the floor so that I am not killing my back.. I've taken the crates that I had their one set of nest boxes on, turned them right side up hoping that they'd use them. I ended up with one of the red one's back in the corner where others seem to be laying. I've got a idea on how to fix those metal boxes to where I can lift them up and just take the eggs out that way. I've got two more of those I can put in there.I have no idea about that. One thing for sure though, is that these NN's are like a box of chocolate. You never know what you'll get!

rofl.. I love the idea.. I'd contemplated just using my little dustpan I have out there, but I like this better, the egg won't roll out. I'm getting far to old for getting up and down out of the floor.starri33
I have an IDEA for you,, Place a box. or bushel, or whatever container you have handy in corner. Upright. Place straw or whatever good nesting bedding into it. If chickens do decide to use it,,,,,,,,,,,, make one of these to retrieve eggs without bending over.
I made this long ago, to retrieve eggs when out of easy reach. Just a small empty can nailed to the end of a narrow board.
