I am still very interested in having one or 2 of the Naked Neck roosters. Especially if they are from those colored egg layers. How would a black sex-link NN x Barred Holland that might lay colored eggs look? Inquiring minds here need to know . . .I have 14 little naked neck's in my brooder right now that are all different color's if you want or need some. I am going to keep the one that has the 5 toes on each foot though, as that one is a dorking mix.

I am going to have a few Barred Holland roosters from a box of 25. I am hoping to get someone interested in them near me, if possible. Maybe a 4-h kid who can keep roosters and wants a breeding project? They are rare and I would feel bad eating them. But, it is what they were bred for, a larger calmer dual-purpose bird that lays white eggs. So, I will probably have to eat one at least! They are supposed to be pretty heat-tolerant, too. It is getting hot here again, after a couple of cooler days. I think that they sound pretty nice, and I like to support a fellow BYC person. So if anyone wants to try them, get in touch with me.The only chick's that I hatched this go around came from 3 hen's; a Blue Double Laced Barnevelder that lay's a nice brown egg, an Eater Egger that I just sold to @City farm that lay's a nice sort of turquoise egg, and my mixed Dorking/Red Ranger that lay's an off-white/cream colored egg. When you want the boy's you are welcome to pick what one's that you want.
Hi, sounds like you've been busy, Thankfully the job is inside where it's not to hot.. my thermometer was saying 94 at 9:06 this morning.. to hot for me, we stopped working on the silkie coop and came inside. Get my phone appointment done with my doctor and then I have to go check on them again.. Did find one piece of happy news, my broody has hatched another chick.. 4 out of 6 so far. How’s everyone doing today? How exciting!! I admit to sleeping with the phone next to my pillow when I ordered last summer, and thanksgiving before that. There should have been a text for arriving at the texas distribution center, leaving, arriving in phx distribution center, leaving, and they could be at your post office now, since that would be the final destination. Though, maybe they're in Prescott but not at your individual post office yet. Those Ideal chicks are at the next stop to the final destination. I got the tracking update that they are "in transit to the final destination". I guess that is P.O.eese for landing in Phoenix and getting loaded on a hot truck going up the 17.
The updates on the P.O. site are funny, check in and check out at the same time. I think that they are on I-17 right now.How exciting!!
