Arizona Chickens

I heard a commotion in the yard but was unable to go out there right away. My rooster is dead, everyone else is hiding or I haven’t found bodies yet.

Do you know what it was? I heard the other day that people were releasing hawk's again that were healed from being injured. With those high wall's that you have over there from what I seen in pictures that you have posted, I don't really see that anything else could have gotten in there.

Hawks or owls. Could have been a cat but doubtful. Seems early for owls yet but maybe not.

That probably wouldn’t cause too much damage although I could be totally wrong.
I lay a thermometer on top of the eggs while in the turner and leave it there for a while, at least an hour, before I check it and and it doesn’t interfere with my turner. I use a humidikit with my incubator because I run my a/c or heat and it keeps the humidity stable. There are hygrometers you can stick on or clip on though that might work. What kind of incubator do you have?

It's a Little Giant Still Air incubator #9200. The stores are either out of thermometers or only have the ones you put in people's ears. Going to have to order one on line.

Try a garden center, you can often find small ones in there that are designed to measure ambient temp just like one for an incubator. It’s not got to be in there forever but if you see 102 put it in there and find out if it that’s a real temp.
Just set on top of the eggs
