I took my dogs to get groomed... and they had these new chicks.. are these Marans? They were big and skittish!

Anddd my girls got to come out to play.. it was like the movie Birds w the D'uccles.. they wanted to get at my coffee cup! Too bad so sad. Elsa is so cute tho, she is my chicken little, squeeking and running to follow me. She is still afraid of the big girls.

I had a crazy pullet that was trying to fly up the wall inside of the coop today. I think she was planning on trying to lay an egg on the ceiling of the coop?

No the NN one that I had to rescue won't start laying egg's until the end of Feb. It's a different NN pullet that was from my June hatch that was trying to fly up the wall to lay an egg on the ceiling. She finally settled on laying it next to my chick's grow-out pen out in the flock's pen on the ground.
