Arizona Chickens

No, i just pet and cuddle her, which she seems to really enjoy. They all usually sit on me or next to me and fall asleep. I assume they like the warmth, and maybe me just a little. I keep the food/treats in the coop only. Then there are no competition issues between the birds/dogs. So when they see me get the treats, they run and get inside the coop asap.
The Brown Leghorns are very smart, and food motivated. Does flying to you involve getting a treat/reward? ;)

Awww, they just wanted to manage the project. Is the human doing it right? We need a little more hay in this corner....

They are too friendly and curious. That's why I don't think that they would do well as a free-ranger. They would most likely think that they would have to check out the teeth of a predator and walk right into it's mouth. This is the batch that eats the bee's and the ant's, and they will go after mice too as I found out 1st hand.

Eating ants is a plus around here, some chickens won't touch them.

I use the treat jar to get them to follow me to where I want them to dig, the other half is always in the coop so they want to go back inside after their time outside. Too many hawks here for un-attend chicken free-ranging. Ducks are bigger and they are very alert, looking up for circling predators and running under the trees.

Hawks have always been around where I'm at too.. but closer and lower since the rabbits have disappeared. I noticed one rabbit, last month i think, and have been looking at all their usual lounging spots, and nothing since. But i don't see any neighborhood cats anymore either, they have to be hungry. These chickens fly so well, i don't even trust them out for a second.

They are the perfect size for hawk bait! I keep mine in a covered 10x10 netted tractor/run unless I am out in the yard.
