People seem to be more paranoid now than when I was young.I think California requires that warning on almost anything for sale there. I have my doubts that Manna Pro is ADDING arsenic (even tho it has been an additive in the industry in the past). I can't see the actual product in the picture but I see grit mentioned in the pink lettering. Arsenic can occur naturally in the environment even in groundwater so I'm thinking limestone and grit could have been filtering groundwater so it is ASSUMED to contain some small level of arsenic for legal reasons.
As I went thru asbestos training a couple of years ago that's what they did to avoid testing every single sample ($300 a pop) whenever you were drilling a hole to hang a picture in drywall or minor remodeling -- just assumed it was an asbestos containing material and so handle it as such. Saves time & money and people think they are safer even tho the exposure is no where near the level to develop any health issues.
Oh good, that would make me cry
I might train them to do tricks in that time, which would be an added entertainment value to your rentals... and save them from freezer camp!
It only works with Minnie, she was the chick i was obsessed with.. but i just say, Minnie Up! And she hops onto my hand! I do think the bicycles can work for them too.
Duck feet might not like all the rock. I have not had Muscovys, their feet might be tougher. They poop a lot, easy to shovel out the straw is a priority here. Quiet girls would lay you eggs, but they are not known for eggs, they are raised for meat. Small egg layer breeds might be nicer for your small space. The quacking is not as loud as chickens cackling, to my ears.View attachment 2603672
This area is 10x40.. i was thinking of some garden beds, painting and using those pallets as garden walls, just need to modify them a bit. I could attach a shade cloth from the roofline down to the walls. But if i enclosed maybe 10x15, i would think that would be a nice housing space.
X's 2 on video! You realize we will need a video of this, right?
(Uh, I'm talking about a chicken on a bicycle, not sending boys to freezer camp!)
I'm assuming the wall is the property line or close to it ... IF so make sure you put quiet poultry there if you neighbors house is just as close on the other side of the wall. Check the poultry ordinance to see if allowed and have a backup plan to move them if anyone complains (smell or noise). Also the shadecloth or bedding could be a potential fire hazard especially that close to property line which is big thing Planning & Zoning might be concerned with since it is life safety code. One reason for houses being separated (typically) at least 5' off property line is to reduce risk of fire jumping house to house.View attachment 2603672

Pretty sure that her HOA is the main source of concern. Quail might be best? CA Valley Quail could be confused with the normal bird sounds.I'm assuming the wall is the property line or close to it ...
