Thank you! I'll get some when I go into town tomorrow. They should be OK in the incubator until early tomorrow afternoon, shouldn't they?I have heard that some do the disinfecting with some peroxide and water in a spray bottle.

But I needed your advice on the peroxide!@Geckolady I'm glad that the hatch seem's to be going well. See, you didn't even need my help with it this time!

They should be, as long as there is enough room in there. They need to stay in there anyway's until they are dry and fluffed up. You could still dip the beak's in some of the vitamin and electrolytes mixed with water in the meantime every so often, to help them to gain strength.

Just the two. Hopefully more might hatch tonight or tomorrow?@Geckolady How many have hatched now?

These chicks look more stout and less skinny than the one from last time. They're livelier, too.![]()
It's 3%. I sprayed it with a little more than half hydrogen peroxide and the rest water. Then I sanitized the heating plate and put it in to let it get warmed up before tomorrow. Both chicks were face planted and sleeping, so I didn't wake them to give them electrolytes. Unless you tell me otherwise, I'll do it in the morning. The typical 3% hydrogen peroxide concentration found in stores can be used as a disinfectant, or you can dilute it to a 0.5% concentration, which still has some effectiveness, using a mixture of 2.5 parts water and 0.5 parts 3% hydrogen peroxide. Spray it on to clean the incubator. Wipe to dry with a clean rag or towel.
,, after a few hours,, all is dry and evaporated, and "SUPER CLEAN AND SANITARY"
