Arizona Chickens

No, I just think it'd be good for you, and others who might want them, to have a choice. Your bielefelder project might benefit if there are multiple cockerels to choose from.
There is more than one batch from different breed's in different state's, also. I'm glad that I got them ordered and that before all of this bad weather hit. The 1st batch was shipped from out of Chicago, IL., and 4 girl's hatched. Then I ordered some from someplace over in Georgia, but only 1 girl hatched from those, so I ordered more from the Chicago breeder and got 2 of each sex to hatch. The one's in the incubator now are from over by Fort Worth, TX. I need to candle them tonight.

This thread has been too quiet lately!

Yesterday I rehomed the Dorkings, cleaned the big coop (the other one still looked pretty good), and put two hens in with Rolex for breeding and all the other girls in the big coop with Big Ben. He was happy to be out of the recovery cage.

How are everybody's chickens/chicks/critters?

Hi!
My birds got to be out of their pen after being cooped up for a few days and decided to soak up the sun. They're all laying again and doing fine.

I was busy with mine, too. I released the 5 pullet chick's that were in my grow-out pen in with the bigger flock, and cleaned up a bit in there. I had to fill in all of the holes they had been making in the pen, but I know there will be more again soon. I added some ACV to the drinking container's after cleaning those out. Then I transferred the 4 chick's that had been in the brooder outside to that grow-out pen. My 7 egg's in the incubator go into lockdown in 2 more day's, for my Thursday hatch. I still need to clean that brooder out and get it ready for the new one's.

I take it that you don't have a run attached to your coop then? Watch out for the wild bird's, as I have heard that the avian bird flue is spreading in the US.

How nice!

Yesterday after chicken wrangling, I took a really nice photo of one of my hens and entered it in the contest here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...s-2-21-w-prizes.1509659/page-34#post-25397186

This is one of the birds that the chicken show guy sold me because they had some white spots. After a few molts the white is no longer on two of them. I'm guessing if he saw her, he'd be unhappy about selling her. :)
