Hi all! I apologize for not being active lately, nothing very exciting has happened as I have just been going through the usual routine with my girls. But just a few minutes ago I saw this tiny egg and almost thought it was a chocolate Easter egg! It was so small I almost stepped on it since it was laid on the floor, I’m assuming it’s one of my easter eggers that laid it this morning. I’ll have to try getting them to lay in the boxes now that hopefully more of my girls will follow the lead! It made me crack up because just this morning I was complaining that my girls are about a year old and hadn’t started laying yet. I’m off to tractor supply to buy some more layer feed now.

Good luck with your hatch! I just rehomed the 3 Welsh Harlequin duck's to my next door neighbor. Now I'm back to having just the chicken's again.

I have told them that several times before. The fence belongs to them, so it's up to them if they want to put one in or not.

This afternoon I saw a picture of a dark forest green egg. Gotta have one, gotta have one, gotta have one! Green is my favorite color.

Some of those first egg's are small like that. Some of them will even have a teeny tiny yolk inside of them.
