Arizona Chickens

I looked up Naked Neck Turken chicken breed and I think the 2 red chickens without feathers on their necks are that breed. I read that one of their traits is 'escape artist' and one of them is an escape artist for sure. She can't escape now that they have a proper coop but before they had the coop she escaped on a daily basis from where they were kept. She would escape and go lay her eggs on the loveseat the neighbors have on their front porch. Then she'd go climb back in the pen. I always got the biggest kick out of her doing that.

Well, now you know what those ones are then.

Yes. I've seen mixed reviews and opinions. I figured it won't hurt but may help. I suspect few people with owls bother to move them frequently. Seeing a hawk perch 15' from the run made me want to try something.

We have owl's over here too. They come out at night after the hawk's go to bed.

I have Fibro and RA! I totally understand where you think it would be too much for you to have chickens! BUT as long as you're not alone they are an amazing reason to get up out of bed. It's one of the main reasons i'm up early in the morning and moving around. I'll get you pics of my babies soon <3 That way you have more chickens to enjoy! I know it's not the same but you can see all the monsters and know that one day IF you ever want one, you too can enjoy having chickens of your own <3

My 3 dogs wouldn't be happy with me adding a chicken to the household. They'd want to kill it.

My 3 dogs wouldn't be happy with me adding a chicken to the household. They'd want to kill it.

Totally understand that one... We have a husky here and we have to keep her outside when my hens are inside and the hens outside when the husky is inside. As the ladies and gentleman know here, we had a mishap where someone allowed my bedroom door to be left open with a whole thing of chicks in there while I was gone, and they were at work. You can guess what happened and what I saw when i came home.

Yes, that is what they are. Some come with the bib's like those 2 have. Other's have even less and have what is called a bowtie. It depends on how many copy's of that gene that the parents had.

Wish I could get chickens again.

Why can't you? Does your area not allow there to be chickens? ;-;-;-; Mine is supposed to be only so many chickens but the people on my block all love my hens and want me to have a biiiig flock so they can come visit LOL Which i am working on with BlueBaby's help <3

The hardest part was hearing my daughter screaming and crying. She was 17 at the time and it was her first batch of chicks that were all her's
