Arizona Chickens

I love orthodontist bands for marking chicks. Can buy them in different sizes and colors, they stretch well so always easy to remove and go up a size as needed....and they're cheaper than the chick bands. All my birds are pretty small though so not sure if they go up in size enough for the big bird chicks...but might be worth taking a look at.

The price has gone up a lot but still cheaper than the chick bands because you get 500 bands for $10 versus 100 bands for $8. 500 bands lasts forever ...I've been using mine for a few years. I bought them from the local feed store called chitwoods, and the brand that they carry there is star mill. I'm still waiting for them to finish and open up a new tractor supply store over here.

The guy at the feed store threw them in the back of the pickup truck. Then hubby helped me put them in my feed containers. The feed bucket is full again as of this morning.

It's 103 here today. The 4% humidity makes it feel like my eyes are filled with sand and crumbled Saltines. Is anyone else still in triple digit temps?
