Arizona Chickens

How long has her eyes been like that? It's looks like ocular mareks.
If you're referring to the eyeball itself, her one eye has had that unusually small pupil for over a year now. The balding and black stuff is new. I'm going to research ocular mareks now.

Looks like blood around her eye :(
Yes. I just checked on her again and I noticed that as well. The black junk seems less for some reason. I'm keeping her locked in the broody cage to keep the others away from her -- especially if they saw the red and tried pecking at her.

looking to connect with other Arizona breeders. I have (SQ) pairs from Devotion Serama, NC. an American of pair of Blue Splash (SQ), an American White Pair (SQ), And Traditional Coco pop with a Colombian hen, blue lace with a choc dil hen from the Jerry Schexnayder, La. a Ginger cock with a black mottled hen. looking to meet other Breeders.

I'm afraid my hen passed this afternoon. I hope it wasn't Marek's and I hope the rest of the flock will be ok.
Sorry to read about that. I hope that your other one's will be ok too. Which breed was she?

I should be having more of those Blue Gold Duckwing Leghorn hatching egg's being delivered on Saturday. They sent me 24.

She was an ISA Brown. She was one of two that I got from Cal Ranch, March of 2023.

Sounds like you've been getting quite a load of chickens hatching this past summer.

Yes, but these Blue Gold Duckwing Leghorns are so pretty. I ended up with 4 of the Brown Leghorn pullets. I still have to sort the Silver Leghorn's out yet.

I've been cleaning out the coop and run, and reinforcing the wire on the run.

@Happy Novogens The cockerels that I plan to keep will be from the BGD Leghorn's. Otherwise, I will be keeping most of the pullet's. I was getting too many egg customer's wanting more egg's then the Bielefelder's were putting out. Next year I should be able to keep up with them better.

The person that I rehomed the Bielefelder's to said that they settled in good over there.
