Yeah, it wasn't a downpour but big drops that got everything wet. The chickens always look slightly offended when it rains. True desert animals, lol. Forecast says we might get a little more rain on and off this week.

Yes, I seen a chance of rain for tonight. I wonder if it's going to go around me again?Yeah, it wasn't a downpour but big drops that got everything wet. We got rain here last night. It soaked into the dry ground, but there's water standing in the bottom of my bucket by the back porch. We had rain and thunder last night and this morning. Even a little hail mixed in too.
This morning we found this when we cracked open one of our eggs. Anyone ever seen something like this or know what it is?

Interesting. That case is somewhat similar but different with the shell (ours was a normal shell).I found this old thread about an egg inside of an egg.

Maybe it was a part of the hen's chalus (maybe spelled that wrong) that an egg was forming around that got swallowed up by a regular egg on the way down? Did you crack open the smaller one to see what was inside of it?Interesting. That case is somewhat similar but different with the shell (ours was a normal shell).
Our pic shows that there's a full yolk and then the separate white mass. I'm wondering whether that mass was a forming chicken or another egg??
I really wish I had. My husband discovered it when making breakfast. We were so focused on deciding whether it was edible (we decided to dump it down the sink) that I didn't think to look more closely. I'm glad I snapped a quick photo, but I do really regret that I didn't take the time to check it out more thoroughly. Guess my stomach was rumbling too loud for my brain to think, lol.Maybe it was a part of the hen's chalus (maybe spelled that wrong) that an egg was forming around that got swallowed up by a regular egg on the way down? I would have been to curious to not look inside. Inquiring minds want to know.I really wish I had. My husband discovered it when making breakfast. I would have minimally chose to cook , and feed back to chickens(we decided to dump it down the sink)
