Hey all! It's been a while. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive and kickin'. Lol...
Things are going well here. We have literally been sick since Brian had Swine Flu. Crazy! We just got done with antibiotics for Strep, so I'm hoping we have had our share and will now be well for a while! Wishfull thinking?
We still have the Bobcat problem, but hopefully she will be gone soon. They caught one of her kittens and she made the front page of the local paper. So, with animal control involved now, it is only a matter of time before the relocate the whole family. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. She moved north of us after the heavy rain storm and is now making her way back to the "good eats!" LOL... Hopefully she won't get anyone before they trap her.
The chickens are all doing well. I did loose one of my silkie hens to the flood from the same storm. She was on a nest of eggs are refused to get up. Poor girl. My welsummer babies are now 3 months old and doing great. I'm a little bummed that I lost my only Delaware roo, so if anyone has one they are willing to let go of, I have some girls that would be happy to have a boyfriend! LOL.. I'm excited to start the next step in the WelBar project when my pullets begin to lay in about 3-4 months. The 2 roos I have for them are already full grown and beautiful. One of their brothers I am going to have my hubby off this week, because he tried to attack me and that does not fly here!!! I have a batch of silkie babies that are almost 6 weeks old now. Not that I need more, lol... So if anyone is interested in them let me know. They are white and some are bearded.
Anyway, I will stop chatting everyone's ears off! It's nice to be back!!!
