On the topic of roosters (and getting it on), when do they stop trying to rape the ladies and start being gentlemen? He even steals treats from the pullets. Is he permanently going to be a jerk?
They should start figuring it out around 7-8 months. If the over-amorous roo is getting mean, you can crate him for a few days, and knock him down on the pecking order. but if you crate one, and not the other, you may end up with one "for sure" dominant rooster. Then your lesser roo is reduced to sneak-attack mating. So....pick your course of action carefully, based on your set up.
If it is possible to give one roo his set of girls, and anther roo a set of girls---and then keep them seperate---you'll have a happier flock overall.
