If you don't know this person, I would be very careful about giving any type personal information (including complete name and address)...... free book or not!! I hate to be so cynical but you have to protect yourself and your family in this day and age. Too many scams out there trying to get any and all info about someone just to use it against them for not so innocent intentions. Be careful!!

I need to change that I know, it gets me into trouble at times.

Sold the EE roo I got back from gckidd this morning along with a pullet. Should pay for a couple of bags of layer feed.

Still trying to sell that nice Blue Wheaten Roo.

I even showered, shampooed and blow dried him this morning. He looks fabulous.

I now have all of my marans in one pen, now I just need to sell:

The Black Star,
The Cinnamon Queen,
The Salmon Faverolle,
The GPC X LBLegorn mix.. she is huge and pretty and lays a light, cream colored egg.
The two White Leghorns
The Light Brown Leghorn.

That's 7 and that will give me room for my April pullets in the coop come August when they hit 16 weeks

Then I have some roos to get rid of

2 more 10 week old Blue Wheatens. One is huge and pretty but his legs are a little light for breeding.
1 Blue Salmon Faverolle roo.
1 BWA X Cinnamon Queen, Red EE roo... pretty

I'll keep my Policauna roo and the one BW roo for future breeding unless I don' like how he fills out.

Then I'll need to choose the Wheaten pullets that get culled come September, then I can get into some serious Blue Wheaten Hatching and selling of eggs come December.

Just sitting by the pool watching kids swim and broodies take care of their babies.

Fun.

I am quite sure I have purchased Flock Raiser from the one on Carefree Hwy. The one cap1717 was at is the main store, so I would bet they have it there. You could call to see. Although, if you do call and talk to one of the kids that works there, you may discover why I usually don't go there much even though it is vastly closer to me than any other feed store.

I was approached almost the same exact way in another forum offered a free book and all. It wasnt free. They wanted almost $100 for handling and processing. Needless to say, my dog wasnt in the book.

Today we lost a white crested black polish pullet to the heat. We went in the coop around 11 and she was down on her side. I didn't think she would die. I handed her to my 8 year old daughter to bring inn the house. She came in with her and I closed up the coop and came to play doctor and this hen had to make her exit dramatic and cry tears as she died. I've lost a few chickens over the last year, but this by far was the saddest. My kids burried her in the chicken grave yard. :-( it didn't seem that hot either.

We lost a RIR hen the other night. We tried giving her vitamin/electrolyte water and put her in a carrier in the house, but we must have been too late.
