When I was pregnant with the twins I had to increase my protien levels dramatically. I didn't like the shakes, so I would put a scoop of ice cream in it to give it a better texture. Low fat yogurt works well too. They actually become enjoyable.

Hello everyone! I have been absent for a while. The kiddos started school and I have to go to the school three times a day since I have a kindergardener and a preschooler. That seems to keep me busy. My internet has been acting up terribly! I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with Qwest trying to get there mess straightened out so I would have the internet.

The birds are all doing well. The hens are still laying like champs everyone is giving me 6 eggs a week. My oldest female duck has stopped laying, but I am hoping her daughter will start soon she is almost old enough.

It has been so hot and dry until last night. We got a good soaking last night.

Hope eveyone who is having neighbor troubles can work things out. I don't understand why no one can talk to anyone any more they just put in complains instead of trying to work things out. What a pain!

Well, where were you when I asked for advice on this before??? Hmmm??

So what are the better options?

I have read good and bad about tea tree oil. Lots of people use it and have no problems. Technically speaking, it is toxic to anyone who doesn't use it with caution. It is a beneficial oil, but, like any other essential oil, should be used very sparingly and in the context of another oil, like coconut or olive or some other dilution.

So far so good on the pullet. Hoping she will recover. She looks awful!

If you like pumpkin seeds, they are really high in protein.
