Arizona Chickens

NoSkiveez- I have an update on the Eggs you gave me to test my incubator. Tonight is the start of day 10. So I candled.

5 SLW eggs set. 5 are viable and I saw a lot of movement on 2. Other 3 are same stage or darker (probably to dark for movement).

4 BO eggs set. 2 are viable with lots of movement. 2 BO eggs clear with a yolk size shadow that stays on top of egg.

This is my first time incubating. I didn't realize till tonight you could see movement through the shell. WOW! My kids thought it was "cool"! Thanks again for the eggs!

Ahhh..... The smell of breakfast going out at midnight, coffee roasting, kitchen lights on, the clammy cold. Nothing beats Black Friday, huh?

I resent the fact that people save only $6 on average during Black Friday sales.

Who else is taking on this endeavor?

There is a coop tour happening next Saturday, the website is www.tourdecoops.com You'd be welcome to come by, even if you didn't go on the tour, but it'd be your best chance to see a whole bunch of coops.

If you like black and white animals, sliver laced wyandottes are very elegant looking, and the one I have lays a very pretty extra large brown egg.

Not me. The last time I went out shopping I came home bloody. So, the next year I sent my DH. He said that is the last time he does that. Those people are a ruthless mob!

Good luck to everyone to hits the black Friday sales!

Staying away from Black Friday. Ugh. Hate crowdsGoing to work until 2pm then home to get ready to cook our "turkey for leftovers". And while the delicious oder is wafting through the house I'll be convincing DH to "build the coop....need it for Chanukkah....smell the turkey....build the coop...."

I'll let you know how that all works out.

demonica29 I'm in Gilbert. Just building my coop this weekend, my girls are getting their silver laced wyandottes for Christmas, and I might get to have some Americaunas too. Hee hee hee.

Monica,
The playhouse duplex belongs to us.... it is serving us well and our chickens seem to really be happy in it. If you ever want to see it in person we are in the Mesa area around Dobson and Baseline. Just sent me a message. I may not post every day but I do usually check in to the BYC website. I know you will enjoy having chickens as much as we do..... we have 4 grown and 2 only 3 1/2 weeks old.
