I dont care if they get their toesies wet, I just dont want them sleeping out in the rain. They need teenytiny raincoats if they are going to be out for too long.

LOLOLOLOL!!!! You are probably right, ca. They seem to have an awful lot of chickens, but handle it so well! I bet the rest of us could learn quite a bit of chicken management from them.

Laree--I am in on the chicken rain coat. It should be colorful and maybe even include a little bling. You could make a ton selling them to the poor folks that live in Oregon.

ca, Only 90%?

Anyone else out in the rain putting a tarp over their runs besides me? The things we do fer these critters! Looks like a blue Barnum and Bailey tent out there. But on the bright side they were on sale at Harbor Freight. Got dirt mounded up all around the coop to try and keep it from turning into a swamp again. Got the tarp up and all the chickens and ducks were raising such a ruckus I went ahead and let everyone out that wanted out, but they have to go out through the door in the coop cuz the tarp blocks the door to the AZ room. Some of them are still sitting there going, "Let us OUT!" Goofy chickens.

The real rain just arrived here in Tucson--it's coming down in buckets. Hold on to your hats, I think we're in for some wild weather over the next three days!
