Thank You it is 2 years of breeding trying to get some nice birds just donated 2 girls to 4h for spring showing/ R.E--Feed prices have jumped up horribly the last year, I always cut mine with wild bird & feed a lot of scraps!!!

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.
Yesterday was hatch day for my chicken chicks and I have one cuckoo marans and one Silkie. I'm going to give it a few days. Maybe I can't count. Today is quail hatch day. So far 91 have hatched and I have some workin their way out now. I'm hoping for a good hatch rate. These are the first quail from my new quail.
smjacob I have eggs!! & I am hatching out my 3rd generation on tuesday!!

The quail will be processed to feed other animals at a sanctuary.
The only Marans I have laying right now are cuckoo. This is one of the first hatches I've had with these girls. After the sportman gets here I may only hatch chickens 3 or 4 times a year. Some of my next hatches will be replacements for next year. My laying season has been terrible. I have a few breeds that have given me only a few eggs in almost a year.
