This is Mrs. Pecker

Sherman wasn't feeling very photogenic, so this is the best I could get. She is in the back behind Mrs. Pecker.

GRRRRR, Anyone want a kitten or three???? I brought home 3 little girls that I am fostering to find them new homes and they have decided that a week is long enough to be settled in. They keep climbing all over the laptop or book or whatever I am working on. Makes it hard to get homework done

Not that i am not finding excuses for distraction anyways but geesh, they seem to know when I have gotten focused and show up right then.

I work at the poor neighborhood in Mexico! I am going this Saturday. We will be doing a pancake breakfast for everyone, and doing some small projects. We will be painting tables and benches at the soup kitchen and making some cement barriers around some trees that they recently planted to help retain the water. Also, there is a new family in the neighborhood...except they don't have a house. They are literally sleeping outside. I know we have nice weather, but sleeping on the ground with nothing over you in 30-something degrees is awful. We hope to be able to build them some kind of little shelter, even if it isn't so nice. I would love to take those clothes down, but I am not sure how I would get to Tucson tomorrow (I have homeschool group on Fridays). If I miss it this trip, I can take it down next month. Should I just let you know next time I come to town to do my Costco shopping? And THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! Good luck building!

Definitely let me know when you are going to be in Tucson! I have a few more drawers to go through, so in the mean time I'll add to the bag.

Math quizz? Here you go!

The variables that should be considered for solving the appropriate angle of perch-approach facility are as follows:
individual chicken fitness and ambidexterity
floor covering materials and percent non-soiled
momentary lighting condition
humidity
availability of alternative resting quarters
design and construction of perch-approach facility
space available for installation
materials preference

e.g. really hard to tell without knowing your situation...

I would lust make one and see what happens

Ha! See; MATH!

Ok, reading that just hurts (though very funny). I am jumping back into Calculus after not touching any math (in a school setting) for 10 years.

I wouldn't mind picking them up from your inlaws!

TT! super! when they come up for my birthday(eek!) in february, i will let you know. you will hold on to them for 5pinkarrows to take to mexico? i'll have to see what else i can unload on to you. usually i donate to the Haven in tucson, it's for moms in rehab and their children stay there too. my SIL is on the board, but i donate sooooooooo much stuff all the time, it's unbelievable.

5pinkarrows, what else do these families need? i have a daisy girlscout troop that can easily do service projects. keep in mind, they are first graders. but i am NOT ALLOWED to drive them to mexico.

Mutts. I know they are Australorp crosses...but I'm not sure what they are crossed with. The eggs are an olive/light brown color.

Edited for spelling.
