Arizona Chickens

Arrows, roosters will be roosters. You have to show them who is boss. When they would act up, I would kick them and then chase them around the chicken yard. I can't do that now, so when they need an attitude adjustment, I put on the hose and spray them. I can spray just as fast as they can run. They hate that.

My chickens are still on lock down in the coop until those hawks leave. Hopefully, when it warms up they will move on to the high country.

Hawks are the least of my problems now. I have homeless people sleeping in my alley again. They have an old mattress out there that they prop up against the wall in the day time. I fear that one of these nights someone will come home three sheets to the wind and run them over.

My youngest son has been sick for two days now with a stomach problem. He has been eating at those taco stands again. Since I have been on my diet, we have been eating mostly greens. He cannot abide this regimen. Late at night him and his friends sneak off to Barfabertos.

Mahonri, just because people are buying groceries with a food stamp card does not mean that they do not have money. My nephew and his wife have a restaurant in Glendale. Lately, they have had people asking to charge their meal on their food stamp card. They say they can do that in California, and they do not understand why they can't do it here. I don't know if it is true or not. Maybe they are just trying a scam.

Anyway, it is a pretty expensive restaurant. I can't afford to eat there.

I think Us dept of ag runs food stamps. I would imagine it was standard nation wide. But if not, I now understand what is going wrong over in bankrupt california. I would not be eager to try anything they are doing over there.

LOLOL!!! Could it be that he doesn't like my daughter because his favorite lady LOVES my daughter. When she goes outside, the hen runs up to her and wants to be held and cuddled...every time. Could it be that he is jealous? Or possessive?
