Sonoran I just called Fedex and asked them if I an ship eggs. The clerk said yes and looked up the requirements. He said the only requirement is that you have to package them in something more than a Styrofoam carton. They have to be boxed so they don't move to aid in prevention of breakage. I"m going to try it, the seller says USPS is $11 to $14.0 with insurance, tracking, and to have you contacted when they arrive. For $13.00 I can have them shipped two day with insurance to $100.00 included, tracking included, and front door service included. That is from CA, I'm not sure how much it would me for other areas, and you may be right they may not accept living packages, like chicks.. I didn't ask.
If I remember correctly, insurance only covers eggs that do not arrive and does not cover damaged eggs.
I was not thinking eggs, but rather chicks, adult and started birds.
