Just got home after being gone for two hours and my four almost 1 month old chickes are missing off the back porch. There is a big hole in the fabric screening and no chicks. I found one outside in the yard, not eaten, just dead...

. We have combed the yard and don't hear a peep. They were growing into pretty birds, and we were holding them all the time. The kids are so sad.. First the eggs missing, now the babies. There is a black cat hanging around the side yard of my wall, I wonder if that is the culprit. Can't believe it.. whatever it was had to have sharp teeth or claws to make a hole in the fabric. Poor chicks, RIP.

Take that back, since I posted we found two more..

They were probably played with by the cat next door.

Thanks my fellow chicken lovers.. It is sad. I wanted to take pictures of them this morning to add to my brag book here and show them to you. I since found my phoenix, she was looking so pretty and my spitz, along with coco. It will be a quiet night with no chirping coming from the kitchen. Bad kitty..
