AZDreamer - I'm sorry about your chicks. Its the worst when something like that happens.

Yesterday a dog showed up here. At first we thought she was sick. But its was shaking so badly because she was starving. This dog has suffered terrible abuse. Her ears were recently cut off. She has bite marks on her face. I've never seen a dog this thin before and she is terribly timid. She has a very sweet temperment, until she sees another animal and then its another story. She attacked my chicken coops, tried to kill the cat and would have killed my dog if she got a hold of her. Just sad to see how humans have failed this dog. We have her tied up, but come Monday animal control will have to come get her. I've never had to take an animal in knowing what would happen.

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I recently moved to Chino Valley from Central Washington State. I have 5 chicks, They are supposed to be black silkies but at least one is something else. I bought them from a lady down the road. Have 16 chicks coming at the end of June from My Pet Chicken. I am hooked !! Lord help me!
