It hit 101 at my house today.. How about the rest of you?

I mowed the lawn and went swimming.. It felt wonderful!

It's back down to 99 at present.

The girls all stayed in the coop... or shady side of the pens.

OK I'll admit it... NOT looking forward to June, July and August.

TT! :

And I was starting to think we should have another one.

Unfortunately this is one of those instances where it is NOT better to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission.

....Just start crying at all the babyfood commercials and diapering the GI Joes. He'll get the picture.

Everybody posting youtube videos lately made me want to post mine. It is VERY amateur, and not funny, and not even about chickens. But, it is dear to my heart. I have posted about the neighborhood where I work in Mexico. I made this video this past summer. It's really a slide show. I am not a professional photographer by any means, but there are a few really good shots. I am in one picture. I was holding a bucket and wearing a blue shirt. Two of my kids are in it, but there are too many kids to point mine out.

It only got up to 96* here. It was uncomfortable a little, but I still loved it. This is why I love AZ! I can take the heat so much better than the cold. I'm 35, but feel like one of the old people that come here for the winter. I totally get it. Just thinking about places like Michigan makes my arthritic shoulder ache.

Wow, thanks for sharing. Thanks for what you and yours are doing.

Wow G, thanks for sharing the video. Thanks for allowing God to use you in this way to help others. I was so emotional watching it I'm going to post it on my facebook.

BTW, tell the girls CC is doing great!! She is sooooooooooooo spoiled. She jumps on the swing with me in the afternoon and wants in my lap. I bought her a bag of cornmeal and have been mixing it with various things to bulk it and she runs to us when he step outside. She still has not found the perfect place to lay her eggs and tried laying from the perch this morning. She will figure it out, and yes she ignore the rooster.
