OUCH!!! What did you do?

MandyMooligan--Those are great pics! Super cute!

Thanks sweetie. I got cut between my pinkie toe and the one next to it with some heavy brusing to my dignity. So embarrassed.

Thanks, I have good models. The fact that chickens are so photogenic is one of the reasons I have them.

I candled the 12 delaware eggs from under my broody hen tonight. It was so exciting!

Mandymooligan, cute chicks!

mclevinson, that sounds painful! I wondered what happened and was all ready to blame it on the caliche.

Hello hemolymph!

Keeping up with this thread is getting to be a full time job. Everytime I miss a couple of days, it's like reading a novel.

TurkeyBreeder, It is good to hear your G-ma will have insurance to get the care she needs.

Mclevision, OUCH!! I hate foot oowies, cuz it limits your shoe choices. Nothing like having to wear flipflops in January, or tennis shoes to a wedding. Hope it stops hurting soon.

Here is a question for all you grape growers. I want to do the Gallo thing and grow grapes on the south side of my chicken run. So when I pruned last month, I stuck some branches in potting soil and took them into the house.

I tugged on a couple and it looks like they are developing roots. It has been 4 weeks and a couple of days. Now What?? Is this long enough or wait a bit longer?? They have not seen direct sunlight. Should I take them to the back porch and acclimate them?? This week night temps are dropping into the 40's. Is that too cold to stay out over night?? Can I give them a little fertilizer or wait??

I hope this pic isn't huge. I always forget what size to make pics before I import them.

AZBootsie, I'd definitely start acclimating them to the sun. Your nights seem a bit chilly yet, maybe you could bring them in and out over the next week. A little fertilizer might help too. Good job on getting them to root. None of the cuttings I took grew this year. What kind are they?

The kind that were on sale a couple of years ago at Lowes?? Little green grapes. Seedless something I think.

Thank you for the info. I think I will move them to the window and then take them out later in the week. I was suprised so many of them rooted. I couldn't find my rooting hormone the day I did it. If this goes well, it may become a yearly thing. Would be nice to see some green around here.
