On the other hand, ready to have them out of the bathroom! Think I'll be introducing them to the bigger birds slowly over the next few days and if all goes well, I'll be getting a second heat lamp for the big coop, so they can move outside. I'll probably do exactly what I did when I introduced the Seramas to the standard chickens - I just let them take turns free ranging out of the coop so each could get close up, but not in the same coop. I never had a single problem when I let them together.
Of course today there was a problem because Elvis thought he could mate with the big hens ... um I don't think they appreciated him grabbing them by the lower back and having to drag him all over before he let go. It was hilarious because he can only reach to the back and side area near their folded wings. Then Elvis and Bert met and did the slinky dog face off where they both crouched really low and got all of their hackles up and stared at each other until Bert decided running away was the best plan.
