GREAT pictures Nurseshelly and AZBootsie

I can't believe how different the seramas look already!

AZBootsie - that is hardly an ugly phase!

Me too. IEP and Behavioral Plan meeting at the school this afternoon. Ugh.

Ugh!!! Hope it went well!!! We could do chicken therapy if you are off on Friday and drive to that Feed Barn place and check it out - LOL! I think it's one of the few I haven't been to yet!

LOL! Those are just their chick names ... when they're older and we know girl/boy we will give them better names. DS will have to put his thinking hat on and figure something more chicken like. Actually I like the Queen Latifa name

We are going to name our little Serama that we are keeping Lady Gaga if it fits her. She's the one with the eyeliner on the right in the top picture. Right now we are calling her Nutmeg (might stick if it fits, we'll see).

MAHORNI- Here are Rocky's light colored babies. They are 7 weeks old tomorrow, so pretty much at the ugly stage. The darker ones are cuter though. They take after Mom..... Golden Cuckoo Marans.

Me too, I can't wait to see what they look like when they are older!
On the other hand, ready to have them out of the bathroom! Think I'll be introducing them to the bigger birds slowly over the next few days and if all goes well, I'll be getting a second heat lamp for the big coop, so they can move outside. I'll probably do exactly what I did when I introduced the Seramas to the standard chickens - I just let them take turns free ranging out of the coop so each could get close up, but not in the same coop. I never had a single problem when I let them together.
Of course today there was a problem because Elvis thought he could mate with the big hens ... um I don't think they appreciated him grabbing them by the lower back and having to drag him all over before he let go. It was hilarious because he can only reach to the back and side area near their folded wings. Then Elvis and Bert met and did the slinky dog face off where they both crouched really low and got all of their hackles up and stared at each other until Bert decided running away was the best plan.

Yay mealworms!!!! Pimachickens you won't regret it. The ladies love them, they are fascinating to watch and easy to keep. I have already had beetles develop and change color, so I'll have many, many more mealworms soon. Have fun with them!

I didn't realize there were two! I have no idea what to do. We are going because we have been doing the Apologia Marine Biology for science this year. I thought it would be great for the kids to see some of these creatures up close. It is supposed to be an educational trip, but fun. It sure should not cost a fortune and last only 20 minutes. So maybe the other one? I will start looking it up online. Thanks for the advice! I knew someone on here would be able to help.

AZdreamer--thanks for the link. I will check out that hotel.

Noooooo!!! We just got our first bunny tonight. He is sooo cute. I don't know the first thing about rabbits. I hope we don't hurt him by doing the wrong thing. I don't know how to pick him up or anything. At least I kind of know what to feed him. It's a start. He is neutered and litter trained. He's in the house now, but that will likely have to change before my hubby gets home from work.
