blue ameraucana and blue jersey giants or black ameraucanas
they would be six months or 8 months in october
i would like to compete in the nationals i know
the orpingtons would do great at the nationals but
my parents cant afford the trip maybe if someone from az group
go's i can go with them and pitch in for gas to go

I know of several folks from Phoenix who are going. I sure want to, and I keep telling DH "It's Indy! You can go spend time at the track!" So far he's not buying it (for himself). I'll keep pushing...

Anyways, blues and blacks are recognised for both those breeds.

from the people i got orpingtons
that hatch 4 days ago they go to the nationals and have 3 years
reserve champion hens and i would like to take my chickens

Newcastle is 8 weeks old, min.

I am vaccinating for Marek's, because I am a freak like that.

Pastrymomma and I just did a batch on Monday. Good fun. Would be more fun with margaritas, at least for us. I doubt the chicks would appreciate it.

is mareks only for day olds or if they are a week old
they can still be vaccinated
margaritas with el presidente
hornitos or jose cuervo

Today the DH installed the new garage doors. Afterwards, he convinced the (recently moved in) MIL to donate all her crap that had overtaken the garage, rather than trying to garage sale it.

For those of you that have been to my "forever under construction" house, the cleaning of the garage means I now have ANOTHER ring of carpets under the patio.

*le sigh*

Pavers: Some day.

The marek's vaccine is for 1 day old MINIMUM. So, yes you can still vaccinate them.

You can vaccinate for Marek's at any age: whether or not it will be effective depends on whether or not Marek's is in your flock yet.

Remember, all vaccines have a MINIMUM age. Their MAXIMUM age pretty much = death.

Heck, I wish you'd come by and introduced yourself. Next time for sure! If we were all heading out for food, it must have been Wednesday. That was one L---O----N----G day. Didn't finish showmanship until nearly 11pm.

Good Googliees People! I miss a week of online and I'm SIXTY pages behind!!

It's taken me hours to catch up.

Welcome to all the new folks. Sorry to hear about the sick kids/relatives and injuries. LOVED the kid poker hand! Super cute chick pics!! I know I missed lots of other things, but my brain is full after all that reading.

Gallo del Cielo - Sorry to vanish on you broody buddy. Classes, taxes, and a hospitalized Mother-in-Law took priority. Your chicks are super cute! Congrats on the super hatch!! Vader had 3 chicks under her this morning, 4 by early afternoon, and 5 this evening. I also lost one that hatched but didn't survive. (The yolk was not fully absorbed, but I don't know what actually killed it.) There is still one "local" egg, and it is piped, so there might be one more by morning. Based on my candling, I don't think any of the eBay BFCM eggs are going to hatch, but I will try to float test them tomorrow.

Vader's babies: Buckets are great for keeping the eggs from rolling out of the nest...but they don't leave much room for the new roommates.

So I moved them into some new, roomier digs.

Family photo: Here are all 5 of her chicks. (As of this evening.)

I did get one cute picture.

Laree, it would be awesome if you could come over Saturday afternoon... I'll pay for your gas and for the vaccinations.
