I have some very nice started barred rocks--but I am not sure if there are any girls. I *THINK* that head spots indicated that some of the younger ones are pullets, but right now I really cannot tell for sure. These birds will be HUGE (exhibition lines).

you have pics & a price? shoot me a pm. I am interested.

thnx

we have some delaware cross chicks
pure orpingtons chicks, delaware chickens and rooster

So, I came home to 15 chicks

14 Seramas. It was wild because all but one serama egg was pipped at the same time - never happened to me before. So far mine have pipped a few at a time. I wish I had been home to see how closely they hatched

The number 15 serama died in shell while I was at work

I think it was too weak to finish zipping because it only zipped 1/4 of the way but wasn't shrink wrapped or anything. There is one serama egg left, waiting to see if it will pip. Then we have the 1 yellow mystery chick, and the other standard white eggs are starting to pip, so I guess he was just an early bird

. My hubby must have gave my a bogus egg count because there are just 7 white eggs left to hatch. Hopefully they will all hatch early morning

I'll get pictures once they are out

I'd love to see pics of any of the Ameraucanas hatched from my birds. I'm trying to decide which birds to cull/rehome and I need to know how many of them ended up clean faced. I ended up with a couple from my Easter hatch and I hoped I had culled the mamas that were giving me clean faced birds.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm thinking this one is clean faced, it was the yellow chick of my hatch, no cheek poof I can see.

Had one with extreme poofy cheeks.

The rest were more in the middle, definitely some poof going on, but not as much as the extreme one.
Here's the group shot, not sure how much you can tell from it. Next time, I'll take face shots of each for you

Hey Arizonans! Im just curious, since the weather never gets god awful cold here (ok RARELY) do your chickens lay all winter long? or do they take a break around christmas? Just curious what to expect from my girls.

Laying slows down, and stops for some entirely in my flock. I don't think I had a green egg for 2.5 months last winter.
