congratulations to everyone who got new chickens!!

Has any discussion been made as to a processing party in Phx or Wickenburg?? I am getting overrun with Roosters. Hatching is great fun.....but too many Roosters!! I will post pictures incase anyone wants to grant a stay of execution. I have heard that there is a butcher in Prescott that processes chickens. Monday I am going to call around and see what I can find out.

Bachelor #1

HotRod is a beauty. 18 weeks old, Dad is a Lav Am and mom is either NewHampshire or Welsummer. My flash must have caught the green, because it only looks that bright in the sunlight. He has a beard and muffs.

Bachelor #2

Midnight is going to be a Big Rooster!! He is a sweetie... Gentle Giant. Hatched 2/24. Dad is Lav Am and mom is either Black Australorp or Black Giant Jersey. His legs are black and the bottoms of his feet are pink....I think that means Australorp?? He has beard and muffs also.

Bachelor #3

Jr looks alot like his dad (the guy in my avitar). Dad is 1 of Dar's crested EE's, Wheaten Am and Crested Polish. Mom is a Golden Cuckoo Marans. This guy is a little timid because his brother is always trying to kill him.

Bachelor #4

Cacciatore (his probable destiny). This fun loving Bachelor keeps fit by chasing all the other roos around. He also enjoys biting people toes. He is pretty easy to handle now, but definately has a feather up his butt. Not for families with small children. He could grow up to be aggressive.

Group Pic:

I also have several Blue/Black/Splash Rocks from the Easter Hatch. They are about 10 or 11 weeks old. I will post pics of them another time.

Let me know if anyone is interested. I am in Congress (little north of Wickenburg) but will do what I can to get them closer to you.

It's good to see you back! Your description of the "Dating Game" roosters had me laughing. The colors on Bachelor #1 are amazing.

suburbanAZchick, Welcome to our AZ thread!

dofnup, it's good to see you back too! I'm still thinking about your imagery of driving on the 101 in that dust storm. Yikes!
