Arizona Chickens

Constance, Tracydr, southerndesert, yep, Bull snake or gopher snake (Pituophis catenifer). When my brother was stationed at DMAFB my nephew found a small one in an undeveloped area of the base and kept it for years. It was an interesting and beautiful snake and pretty large when he finally released it. I always wondered how it fared in the wild after growing up in captivity. I looked for mine in the yard today and couldn't find it. My chickens went pretty crazy when they saw it yesterday! I suspect they'll tell me when it comes back.

Me and nurseshelly will have you all turned into serama freaks if you are not careful. My 4 year old is a serama snob. I guess that is better than a scottsdale snob....sorry scottsdale people...I am sure you are not snobby...you have chickens which poop. How snobby can you be with poop on your shoes!

What I'd really like to find is a place that sells whole grains. I'd like to just start mixing my own rations if I could find a premix and a protein, like roasted soybean meal or something.

Most of the feedstores carry grains, too. Just need to decide what you want and make sure they have those grains in stock.

Is it still supposed to be 118 tomorrow? I just looked in my freezers, and realized both freezers are more chicken treat cubes than people food.

I think I am going to let the chooks free range all day after 10 am tomorrow. Maybe they can keep themselves cooler that way.
