Arizona Chickens

So sorry to hear all the bad news about the HOA's. I've got a very dumb question and it comes from my ignorance of never being in or around an HOA; What would happen if someone were to ignore their request to get rid of the chickens? Is it the hoa or just one stupid neighbor complaining forcing the hoa's hand? Wish there was something we could do.

A few years ago there was this fascinating story on the internet about a couple (college age?) guys who basically set out to upset the HOA. They liked erecting giant things out of plywood, and, as soon as they had to tear it down, they would build something new. They did things like built life-size medieval weapons in the front yard, a giant horse god, and I can't remember what else. The letters from the HOA were all posted and they were hilarious.

While trying to find that, I found this: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1592772/how-to-treat-an-hoa-violation-letter-in-phoenix-or-gilbert I don't think it helps much, but maybe?

mclevinson: So sorry to hear about your HOA. As far as I'm concerned, HOAs are absolutely evil. I hope things work out.

My BR is still broody, and as hot as its been I didn't want to risk giving her eggs. So I ordered the mixed pullet assortment from MPC, I'm planning on giving her six of the chicks, and selling the rest. They arrive on Monday, so if anyone wants sexed pullets, send me a PM.

Wow Guys, thanks for the emotional support. It's in short supple around here!

Let's put the big metal chicken IN the trebucket and does anyone know an HOA lawyer?
