My gramma has had peacocks forever. She recently died & I was lucky enough to get 2 of her baby peachicks. I hope to keep her line of peafowl going. I love the call they make...so funny

Aspiring Taxidermist!

Memphis - where are you and do you still have that snake? I showed this to Walt and he'd like it...

from a trained taxidermist, that chop marks are really hard to hide on a snake, and that he hopes he really is an Aspiring Taxidermist.

It would be a good project!

He really is an Aspiring Taxidermist! He tried getting a job with a guy local in AJ but missed out by a week. He'd love instruction!

Gallo - I won two of the silly auctions! I figured what are the odds so I played them.

Here is the ebay auction:

chicken nipples (I just like typing that!)

I think the ones I got are pretty close to identical to the ones in your link. Came out to around .43 each. Stainless parts & screw in type. I'm torn between you cool cooler set up and the simpler bucket method. The only thing drawing me to the bucket is i thought if you put ice in it the chickies would get cold water. With the cooler and pipe the water would have time to heat back up in the pipe before they got it.

I still like the auto fill feature of your cooler system!

My coop is going against the house and there is already a hose bib (which will be inside the coop) so it would be ridiculously easy to plumb.

Well, I suppose the only way to describe today is CRAPTASTIC!

Got through with work about Noon, mowed the front lawn, cleaned the pool, packed to go to Utah, picked up my prescriptions at the pharmacy, taught my class that I do in Spanish on Thursday nights, Got home and the poop hit the fan.

DS#4 wrecked the kid car (2009 Ford Focus) Hit a curb at a good rate of speed, broke the wheel and drivers side front axle. Found out I need to take part in a funeral on Saturday (that was the next phone call before we called Triple A) headed up to the 26th Street on ramp to the 51. Called and cancelled my hotel reservations in Utah. (DW and I were going to go for my 35th high school reunion... yeah, I'm that old) We were also going to climb Mt. Timpanogos (11,800 ft), but that's down the tube too. Waited until 10PM for the tow truck to show, had him tow it to ABC Nissan collision center. I gotta say, the tow truck driver from AAA was WONDERFUL... I knew he didn't want to be there, but he was professional and VERY NICE.

While waiting for the tow truck to come, DS#4 called us to tell us where he will spend all of 2012 and 2013. Veracruz, Mexico and it's environs. (as a missionary for our church)

Got home, unpacked and I'm trying to calm down.

I didn't yell at him. I hugged him and told him how grateful I was that he wasn't hurt, but he won't be doing any extracurricular activities for at least 3 months once the car is fixed.... and maybe beyond.. (he WAS the photographer for the Shadow Mountain Football Team).. this is the kid that just had surgery back in July.

I hope I get any sleep... I've got to be at the collision center at 6:45 before they open tomorrow morning.

Sweet dreams y'all.
