If you don't mind, can she also send my seeds to you? Then we can arrrange a time to pick up; I am in Tucson several times a month. Thanks!!!

Oh wow! I'm gone two days... You guys really move along.
We went to Madera Canyon yesterday with family. It was beautiful weather!
We saw a huge centipede and a rattlesnake. Also lots of butterflies that would sit on the kids for long periods of time.
We were able to show the kids what a rattlesnake looked and sounded like so they can avoid them in the future.

Tracydr: I have kefir grains. You can get some from me when I give you the cockerels that Ideal will surely put in with my order.

My mil decided that since I like cats that she should provide me with all sorts of cat decor. Mind you, I said I like cats, the living, breathing, scratching, purring kind, not inanimate decor. That was long before I had chickens. I actually prefer to choose my own decor, whether or not it relates to a hobby is immaterial.

Some years ago, when I was really into fishing, my mother bought me a lamp in the shape of a realistic looking large mouth bass. It had a hideous green ruffled shade. It didn't go with anything in our house--not even remotely, but that didn't stop my mother. What the heck am I going to do with a bass lamp? It now resides in the back workshop in the garage. I can't bear to get rid of it because she was so happy to give it to me. I just know that someday she'll be here and ask, "where's your fish lamp?"

And it begins...

My parents found out about my new obsession - not difficult as I "prance" around stating, "I'm getting chickens" constantly...

I am the proud owner of a ceramic chicken purchased at the Mesa Art Center.
