Arizona Chickens

Chickens were never in the wild. They are domesticated. That said, mama hens seem to know what to do without those things.

I really like your adjuster. I'm going to have to try that.

Also, I would be careful using hay for the chicks until they are older. They might eat too much of it.

Tell that to the residents of Kauai and Florida, both of which have large feral chicken populations. In much of the 3rd world the domesticated chicken is still left pretty much to forage and care for itself and offspring.

Yup - first ones ever. Hopefully the setup is adequate, I keep hearing horror stories about losing chicks. At the onset of the chicken adventure I told Tammy we should get a few extras as most folks say to plan on losing a couple. At this point I don't want to loose any!

I see your point. Kind of like the "domesticated" cats all over my neighborhood.

I guess I was just distinguishing between wild and feral. Some feral animals can survive in the wild but they weren't wild to begin with, at least, in their current form.

Personally I prefer a long-handled hammer to needle nose pliers. Much less precision needed

I have a long handled propane weed burner. Nuff said.

I just got this image in my mind a few hours later after reading your post...

So, when you burn the scorpions do they make the high pitched squealing noise like in Aliens with Sigourney Weaver??

It seemed the perfect thing...
