Great! Thank you!
I will give this a try!
Stuff I found with google seemed complicated with soak/rinse, careful water doesn't sour and such... yeesh! lol...
I'm just a few minutes from a place called "new life" that sells all sorts of grains, and herbs. I will check there for what you have suggested. Mom gets flax seed there for dad and I tease she can get it cheaper at the pet shop as bird seed.
I used to sprout all my bird seed too. But got out of the habit when the sprout trays gave up the ghost. lol.
Our parakeet has been in her nest all morning re arranging the nesting material!
It's been awhile since we've had babies around here and I can hardly wait!
OK
You guys have convinced me to try sprouting. I ordered some organic clover seeds.
Critter: I remember New Life. It's been there a LONG TIME!
I tried to watch the video with the scarf lady. I couldn't do it. Somehow the fact that it was a laying hen and not a meat bird bothered me... A lot.
Tracy and Mikey: When you process your birds would you be open to help? I think the only way I'll know if I can do it is to try it.
Whoa! Just slow down there lil' filly!
I'm still in the post embryonic stages here!
(Get it? baby chicks - post embryonic stages! Ha Ha Ha Ha! I crack myself up!)
Other than cool mechanical ways to remove feathers - I'm not even in the ball park!
